On the tenth day of Christmas…

The Sandringham Rotary Club contribute to the Bayside community in many ways – from reacting to natural disasters to collecting food items to assist FoodBank in their efforts to reduce food insecurity in Australia.  The Sandringham branch conduct a bi-annual collection at Coles Sandringham with all proceeds going directly to FoodBank.

The Club also donated a car to assist with the local L2P program – a wonderful program assisting young people without access to a car or a driver to attain the necessary 120 hours of learning required to sit their license; they recently purchased a beach wheelchair to support Sandringham lifesaving club in their mission to commence the Starfish Nipper program last year; and hold an annual event to raise awareness and much needed funds for mental health research.

On a more personal level, the Sandringham Rotary Club contribute to our very own Education Support Program which encourages social participation and inclusion in the school environment!  The support received for this program last year from this club contributed to 45 students attending school camps and excursions from Moorabbin Primary School!

Further to their annual generosity and support for the work we do here at BayCISS, the members recently held a special event and donated special gifts for distribution to our families with teenagers for placement under their tree!  These gifts will certainly make a difference to many of our families!
