The Education Support program was established in 2009 to provide a fund that supports children and young people from low income and vulnerable families in Bayside and Kingston to fully access their educational opportunities. Since its inception, the program has distributed in excess of $320,000 to local schools to cover the costs of swimming lessons, camps, excursions, books and travel costs to ensure that these children are not prevented from joining their peers in all activities.
The program is fully funded through grants and donations with major funding provided by Rotary Club of Brighton.
BayCISS works directly with schools who identify students at risk of becoming disengaged due to their inability to become involved in activities. Funds are provided to the schools in order to preserve the anonymity of the students.
For further information about this program, contact BayCISS or your child’s school.
