A New Era of Leadership for Bayciss

The Bayside Community Information and Support Service located in Hampton East have appointed Karyn Doyle as its new Manager.

Committee President, Mr Bill Howley said he was delighted to announce the appointment just prior to the agency’s Annual General Meeting and leading into what is expected to be a busy Christmas period.

“This time of year is always challenging and will once again test our resources as we make every effort to provide essential services to those in our community requiring assistance. Karyn has a wealth of experience and knowledge from within the Community Services sector following appointments with such organisations as United Way Ballarat and Direct2Care.”

“We are extremely fortunate that Karyn had recently moved into the area following her relocation from Ballarat to Melbourne through her partner’s work. With the onset of Christmas and a time which is difficult for a lot of our local community members to make ends meet, it is important that our organisation is there at the coal face to assist with challenges.”

“I am confident that her skills and experience will provide BayCISS with solid leadership, direction and strategic guidance, as well as an empathic and understanding attitude to benefit the Bayside community.”

Ms Doyle is very excited to join the team at BayCISS and is looking forward to contributing to positive change within the local community.

“I feel honoured to have been given the opportunity to work with so many wonderful volunteers and staff delivering essential services, guidance and supports in a challenging environment. We assist with information, referral, advocacy, material aid, education support, counselling and casework with a lot of support coming directly from our community allowing us to give back to that community.”
